It's a place unlike anywhere else in the world. I love the mist, the mountains, the forests, the waterfalls, the winding roads, the rice and chilies, the birdlife, the yaks, the monks, the temples, the dzongs and I love my local team here even though I make them work harder than any other tour business I suspect!
I've been coming here for 13 years now. It's my peaceful place.

Winter in the Himalayas is a great time of year for photographers, festivals and brilliant sunshine. Join Ewen Bell and Trent Lanz for a journey into photo journalism and Bhutanese culture. Immense colour, drama and culture. This tour explores both the intensity of festivals and the peacefulness of the countryside. Avoiding the easy to reach festivals of Paro and Thimphu we head east to Bumthang. Along the way the itinerary gives us time to learn about Bhutanese people and traditions.
@ewen Thanks for the insight. I´m speechless, can´t even remotely imagine to be there. Thought about living and working there somehow and read a little here and there but wont happen I guess. The pictures <3
