Going to my first ever #magicthegathering paper draft this Friday - I'm excited! Now that we've moved house I've got an LGS close enough to get to, and now that I've got a new job I can go regularly too 🤩

Anyways - anyone got any tips for LTR drafting? And any tips for someone going from #mtgarena drafting to paper? I've been studying up where I can and Arena drafting LTR but any help would be appreciated 😅

@mattlune remember that the Nazgûl are all 12$ each and uncommon… between that and remembering the chase rates and mythical you should easily come out ahead.

Only half joking 🙃 if you want draft tips don’t ask me best I’ve done over four drafts is 2-1, 1-2, 1-2, 0-3 but “the ring tempts you” is very strong, so is food.

@stormcauldron 😄 haha well I appreciate your advice either way! I'm far too competitive to rare draft, despite not having the skills to back it up 😂
@mattlune it's a slower format that is the big thing there are some archetypes in each color and it's not really multicolored supported you can get away with 2, 3 if your just splashing it in. If you can do some drafts on arena it is a 1for1 experience and gets you exposure to cards. The main difference from paper is remembering draft passing order and a good rule of thumb for your first draft only pass one pack at a time. So if you have passed a pack and they have not taken it yet hold it.
@innergeekdesigns this is great advice thank you! It sounds silly but I have no idea about table etiquette being a purely online player 🙈 but I've been told it's a casual experience so I'm sure it'll all be fine
@mattlune be up front and say this is your first paper draft.you get assigned a sheet on companion so you get put around some random people.
