Take a trip back a few years and watch the movie Billy Jack. I saw it when it came out in theatres in '71.
There is so much in it that pertains with what is still going on in society today.
It's about the
#environment
#racism
#underdogs
#victims
#heroes
#injustice
and so much more.
It's easy to see the #Republican attitudes of the 70's and the similarities of today's #Republicans.
#Racism was as ugly then as it is now.
The changes we wanted never came true for us.
WTF happened?

@maddad
Not clear what happened.

My guess: Most folk found consuming shiny goods and services more attractive than leading a life that might have had them develop depth / a soul / a ethical livelihood / a social conscience/ political agency.

Seems that Trump lives by letting it all hang out, ballin' who-ever, going with his feelings, living by his own rules, fuckin' the system, calling no man master (well except Putin after Helsinki?), being the change?
The shadow of Billy Jack?

@maddad one of my favorite films!

@maddad Roots feed the branches.

Poorly educated masses, are easier to sway to profit for the wealthy. Abuse of power is the oldest method to shift give~take metrics toward the wealthy. And as historians have historically claimed: ignorance is the ultimate enemy.

Keeping the masses as ignorant as possible, keeps their range narrowed so they can be easier to manipulate into more profit for the wealthy. This is why it's absolutely critical to not only have the best educational systems in place globally, but to also include inherent talents/aptitudes as viable options in individuals proficiency ranges, so their give~take ranges are scalable - not just fodder for more abuse.
