Me: Oh yeah Nim exist, why don't I use Nim again?

Nim Lead Developer:

The Nim community is a great example of the Nazi Bar analogy. This account was made literally an hour before making its posting. If you run a FOSS community, do not be like Nim.
@CapitalEx yikes that's a trio of dogwhistles comin' from that guy
@atax1a :: Attracted like flies to shit.
@CapitalEx At first I was like “doesn't care about catering to companies' demands? Don't see what's so bad about that”; but then I kept reading…
@nytpu :: For me the inflection point was at "I lost faith in mankind", because I knew at that moment he was going to go off the rails on a totally unrelated and reactionary tangent.
@CapitalEx I mean, at that point it could've at least gone off into a “companies stealing labor from FOSS devs” or something at least somewhat reasonable

@nytpu :: See, I can get him being annoyed at question which basically boils down to "when you die, then what?"

It is very reasonable to ask about projects that will out live their founders, however it also very uncomfortable thought for everyone. I know cause I pushed my mom to have her death plans in place after watching my BF's mother struggle through the legal details of dying.

@nytpu :: But, this response is so immature on multiple fronts. And, should at as a bright red flag to anyone using Nim. Well, unless you are giddy to finally have a language that's "apolitical".
@CapitalEx @nytpu oh we absolutely love the "the real racist and sexist is you, the one calling out racism and sexism, because youre being racist against whites and sexist against men, i am very smart" tack
@atax1a :: He could have stopped just before it. It could have simple ended on a "I'm old and I don't get why people are changing it". But, nope, couldn't resist that last dig.
@CapitalEx wew. that escalated quickly.
@CapitalEx good night sweet prince. I think nowadays the alt-rust people use Zig
@CapitalEx it's hilarious people are still pissing themselves over the default branch name change in git when it's literally the last thing i ever think about when doing stuff like PRs/merges
