Just for fun I’ve created a bot that is tooting the entirety of Stanley Kubrick’s 2001 : A Space Odyssey frame by frame. It’s going to take about 5 years. A month or so in and we’ve made it to the opening title. Join me in watching the film in slow motion.

Wally Gentleman was the creator of many effects for 2001.
He created a company in suburban Montreal, called SPEAC. I had the pleasure of meeting him in the early 70s.
An early NFB film (Universe) with Gentleman's help, was a beautiful animation. It helped inspire effects for 2001.
