@susankayequinn I JUST finished setting up air quality index monitoring in my #HomeAssistant #homeautomation system, drawing data from a https://waqi.info/ monitoring site about 1/4 mile from my home. Now to set up an automation to turn on the smart switches on the 3 Corsi-Rosenthal MERV 13 filter boxes when the local index starts to get high

@dctucker That's cool that you're automating it! I was surprised how fast the AQI changed overnight in this last surge of wildfire smoke, outpacing the prediction by a lot. Folks really do need to make a regular habit of checking AQI (unfortunately) as long as Canada's on fire this summer.

@susankayequinn They'll be automated for local outdoor AQI as well as indoor temp. Set to run when anyone in the family is home and thresholds are exceeded
