XAct_6510Finally got the Atari 1010 cassette drive for my #Atari #800XL. Completely restored, repaired and tested it. Runs beautifully and looks fantastic with the rest of my Atari 8-bit collection. penguin42@XAct_6510 Erm can you explain the boiling of the belts?
@penguin42 @spike The belts were lose and out of shape because of the long time the drive was stored. Boiling them for about 10 minutes give them back some flexibility and the round shape. Works fine as long as the rubber didn't start to turn into gunk.
