pandabrandSecond batch of oatmeal cookies and still trying to dial in this recipe. It’s hard because my taste is jacked up and I can’t really taste things properly. Folks who are test subjects like the heat from the ras el hanout but the dried apricots are getting lost. Next batch I think I’ll try roasted apricots instead.
I’ve been riffing off the luxury oatmeal cookies in the baking bible so far. So, Rose Levy Beranbaum is a baking queen, I think I have to also rethink the base dough. I’m not getting the crispy edges I want.
