There’s nothing that screams “free speech” like limiting the amount of posts people can view.
@luckytran and with people that appear first only because they pay. Not only you're limited but a big part of your limit is used by "blue pigeon"
@Selliato @luckytran and probably also sponsored tweets concur to the count.
"Eat that slop, viper!"😜
Just morons could cheer at that.
@luckytran
Of course, there will be so many people locked out of their accounts, including the blue ticks because reading 6000 tweets doesn't take long, that the whole platform will stop. Mind you, if it's the Google Cloud thing that people are suggesting, I guess that's what he needs to happen.
@kaffando @luckytran Hahaha, imagine you actually PAID to use Twitter and then you still cannot use it 😂😂😂

@kaffando @luckytran

I reached the rate limit after 2 hours - non-verified limited to reading 1000? tweets

#RateLimit

@luckytran it's hardly going to drive engagement. What will the sponsors think?
@cv_cev @luckytran Hopefully they'll think twice, and pull all funding permanently this time.
@luckytran to those who can't/ don't want to pay
@luckytran who wants to bet the issues that twitter is experiencing (and the official reason for the limit) aren't caused by sudden "aggressive" scraping, but simply because Mr Big Brain Guy gutted the infrastructure of his own platform with his 5D chess moves...
@bugbear @luckytran all evidence I've seen so far is pointing that way, yeah
@luckytran that’s the single most insane thing about the whole thing that happened today. I assume the first move would be to limit the amount of times that “unverified” people could tweet. But to actually make it so they can’t even read tweets is crazy.
@luckytran also, i imagine ai scrappers or whatever nonsense he's worried about will just create 1000 accounts and keep reading. he's only hurting the actual users.
@luckytran The so-called "free speech" only applies to the rich.
@luckytran Watching the evolution of “free speech”, “fake news”, and AI would be fascinating if the impact wasn’t so frightening.
@luckytran : Especially when the posts you can see are manipulated by the Rulemaker.
@ImaBMe @luckytran Even as he screams and wails to Forbes about "extreme system manipulation." Make it make sense!
@luckytran I'm still 50/50 on whether or not Elmo's actual goal was to destroy Twitter. If it is, he's taking way too long to kill it.
@luckytran apparently your own posts counted as someone else's limit because it will appear in their timeline. I imagine some reckoning will happen.
@luckytran turns out it was a bug that was hammering back end systems - doing a seld-DOS.. but of course EM tries to make out its a "business move".. so far out his depth - fish have headlights
