Please tell me again about how Mastodon is harder to use than the site where you have to keep track of how many posts you read each day.
@PeterR Listen, didn’t we all agree social media is rotting the brain? Now you have to keep time limits for Masto, while Twitter gives you ten seconds a day tops!
@vnangia @PeterR wot “time limits”? What has happened in both / either while I wasn’t giving a F?
@PeterR oh, don't even bother trying to keep track...
@PeterR I think Mastodon is great. I went back to Twitter primarily because for my small account, there was really no change. We’ll see what happens after today.
@PeterR Bonus: I haven't had to block a single harassing bluecheck account or any obnoxious advertisers all day here.
@PeterR it’s not. People have just become accustomed to one specific app that they have used for years and something new just doesn’t sit right in the brain.
@PeterR most people will still use it as a resource for local news and events, which is totally understandable, but it is also a catch 22 because there is local news and events because people are using it...
@LillianVS yeah, I don't begrudge anyone using Twitter (or any other app they find value in, for that matter).
@PeterR
Admittedly, I've been using a lot of stuff on the internet since 1989, so it's a mystery to me, as well.
@PeterR Mastodon is a much different set-up than Twitter

@PeterR

I can't even imagine reading 500 a day let alone whatever the amount was.
