@rodhilton Them: Let's move Twitter's infrastructure to the cloud.

Me: Why? We already have our own infrastructure, and we'll be beholden to the cloud provider.

Them: Okay, let's move to *two* cloud providers. Plus, we'll keep some of our own infrastructure.

Me: Uh, won't that be really expensive and potentially tank the company?

Them: Yes, but it will be hilarious later when the company gets scrapped and the new owner has to scramble to get off of the cloud.
