@christianselig I had a good sad laugh when I discovered it 🤣 Just curious, in this final version of the app, is it still possible to enable “open Reddit links in Apollo”? I replaced my TestFlight version with the the final AppStore version so I can keep it on my phone and make sure Reddit links try to open in Apollo so that they don’t work, essentially making sure I don’t accidentally give Reddit traffic. But I can’t seem to find that and it didn’t carry over my previous settings.

@christianselig thanks for everything, Christian. Apollo was my go to for years! All day today my finger has been automatically going for Apollo even though it’s not there anymore. that’s gonna be a hard habit to stop. 😭

@christianselig Hey Christian, thank you for the memories, I’ll never forget the time I spent with Apollo. It’s the end of an era for me, time to move onto whatever comes next!

There was a huge reorg at Unity last month, so I’m falling back to working on my own indie games for a season. I know you love animals, so check our game Tanuki Sunset, on Steam. We’re really proud of it.

@christianselig I want you to know that your app is what turned Reddit into a daily habit for me. Your app got me through some of the best and worst times of my life. That sounds dramatic, but Reddit became a place I wanted to hang out and interact with people specifically because you designed Apollo to be so simple and user friendly. It will be sorely missed and I wish you the best of luck in any future endeavor you undertake. Maybe a Lemmy app >_>
