Upgraded from Ubuntu to #Debian #bookworm on my server and I'm loving it so far! I just run a few small web and clojure applications on it and have successfully migrated my #nextcloud setup to #podman! Runs really well and I love not having to manage PHP on my host 😛

On the note of #podman, I have not been able to get #forgejo (gitea fork) working, something about permissions, probably an issue with rootless podman. For my use it's a bit overkill anyways and I'm thinking of switching to something simpler. I've heart of #gitolite and #cgit or #gitweb as good alternatives but am open others.

Input and boosts appreciated!

Thank you for the suggestions! In the end, I actually ended up going with #cgit and #gitolite as I felt #gitea and the like are too complex for my use case. I pretty much just need SSH-key based authentication, HTTPS cloning and a nice little frontend, which this combo satisfies.
@boo_ I don't know about the other git hosting systems, but something that is CLI only might be a lot lighter.
@steven I've thought about that, and since I work pretty much by myself on the projects I will be hosting, the workflow would work, but I'm not sure everyone I want to show my projects to would appreciate having to drop into a terminal to view it. Otherwise that's a good option.
