Why is Apple financially supporting Twitter for something like this? Just stick it up on YouTube or make it free on the TV+ or iTunes or any of their half dozen other platforms.

@paul The sad truth is nobody but us nerds and social issues minded people care about what Elon did or stands for. Outside this bubble, nobody cares and continues to use Twitter as normal.
@paul I hate that it is like this, but it is. Apple should do better, but clearly they also don’t care that much.
@paul I’m from Brasil and am actively trying to bring left-leaning people to Mastodon. The gravity of Twitter is just too high. People of interest don’t leave because they have an audience and the audience doesn’t leave because everyone’s there!

@mitt_rafael @paul Yes. My tech bubble has completely migrated to Mastodon, my left social activism bubble is still on Twitter. Beats me why
@below I tried lowering the barrier for entry by tweeting a step by step of how to do it. That didn't do anything. Sure my reach is tiny there, but still. The people here came here on their own and seem to fit the tech and/or very left leaning types. Not a bad thing, just a small niche.
