i’m using #ivory for mastodon on my iphone, and i’ve noticed that non-iphone emoji don’t display. for example:

i think that’ll parse for y’all as the #fediverse logo, right? for me it’s just the word “fediverse” with a colon on each side.

i’m unclear on whether these are mastodon-specific emoji, or instance-specific. it’s not the end of the world if ivory can’t display them, but it would be nice to have. am i doing something wrong, or is this maybe a future feature?

@m3enzo @symfonystation i went into another app and saw it also, it really does seem like a limitation with ivory. it’s a shame, because overall it’s a really great app.
