People have gotta understand: "KickVic" was never intended to be a person's whole-ass IDENTITY. In 2019, hundreds of people shared their stories about their interactions with him. All the hashtag was intended to do was to more easily share those stories.

It wasn't something you became a "member" of. It was, "Hey, this was my experience, let me add this hashtag to get more eyes on it."

That's it.

Can you imagine people claiming to be a MEMBER of "MeToo"? That's not a thing. That's not how this works.

And then imagine there being a movement called IStandWithNotMeToo, and then you called yourself a "member" of that.

That sounds so stupid. Because it is. Because it's not a group. It's not a membership. This whole idea is absurd.
