@eladrin my list of stuff I'd like to GM consists of different settings I've got scetched out in my head rather than specific systems.
A gonzo planescape-inspired city thing where basically anything goes, a dark souls inspired realm where memories are a tangible thing and even the land is forgetting itself, Roadside Picnic inspired small zone I've lightly mapped out with it's own anomalies and monsters, World that operates entirely on videogame logic etc etc.
@Sahh Do you have a goto system to realise these amazing worlds?
I wrote Tripod to quickly bring anything I wanted to the table. Fate is another better known maker of worlds.
@eladrin OSR is my poison of choice, so in my case LotFP is my default system as it's the first B/X clone I picked up and I haven't seen the point in picking up some other system like that as the differences between each other are often very minimal and it's super hackable anyways.
That being said, obviously there would be systems that would better lend themselves to the type of idea I might be working with so more gonzo things I might run with Troika for example.
@eladrin Besides, when I'm running games I'm not super concerned about rules.
They kinda just are there to give some structure for how to adjucate things.
There have been several sessions in row in my longer running games where nobody's really rolled a dice at all except to maybe consult some random table 😅
