MouseATI'm hearing reports from reputable sources that Jetline, the classic Schwarzkopf coaster at Grona Lund, has derailed, killing at least one person. To say that it sounds horrendous is an understatement.

People have fallen from the train, one has died so far, and others are injured. The park has been evacuated.
Nobody saw this one coming. The park has a solid reputation, and the ride seemed to be well cared for. It's not the first time we've seen problems with classic Schwarzkopf trains, though, so I wonder whether modification is going to be required to other, similar rides.

OwlSong74 🦉@MouseAT I've been keeping up with this in the Swedish news and its so tragic. Not to mention disheartening, especially considering the accident in Mexico City not long ago.
My local park has a Schwarzkopf that I love. I hope a way is found to retrofit them to make them more reliable instead of closing them down.
@ollie It’s just so tragic. I visit Sweden every few years, and was at Grona Lund riding Jetline a few weeks ago. I know the place well, and it’s a shock to the system. I know this has happened before with similar coasters, but there’s usually been wilful negligence, and I wouldn’t expect that from Parks and Resorts (Grona).
I hate that someone already died, and my brain is more occupied with “what happened, and how do they stop it?”
@MouseAT absolutely. whenever i get a news notification I'm hoping its some new news on what cause the accident, and therefore what can be done to keep if from happening again.
It must be especially haunting and sad when youre familiar with the park and the ride like that. <3 The whole situation is horrible
