Abdulla77I’m impressed with #mastodon with today’s #russia coverage. Also, the top messaging platform that got mentioned the most was Telegram, considering #prigozhin himself posts on it communicating all updates. Twitter? Meta? Both irrelevant at this point.

@austinsart discussions? Not much.. probably more discussions happening on Telegram groups. But more of the updates.. Twitter was just filled with irrelevant/spam stuff. Here it was a minute by minute posting of developments on the ground.
@abdulla77 I see, yeah, at least #mastodon is better with information. I just wish there was more discussion. I don’t really use telegram, I really am not into having multiple accounts
@abdulla77 it just makes me angry. And so left out like what the hell do you have to do to get someone to discuss some news with you. So irritating

@austinsart @abdulla77 has Twitter ever really been good for actual discussion when it comes to world events? Usually just descended into a dumpster fire of people getting angry that they’ve seen a view outside of their echo chamber. And that was happening long before Musk.

@wiredfire @abdulla77 People want discussion. I know I do. People want to discuss it. And it’s a frigging shame that there is less of it here.
@abdulla77 @austinsart I’d say there’s less volume but better quality. Discussions on Twitter were roughly zero quality. Mostly ranting at each other. No value. Where as a back and fourth with just one or two people here can be far far more engaging.
