JRP#iOS17 Beta 2 is running nicely for me so far. Seems very speedy & only experienced a couple of glitches. The betas have come a long way since the early days. There was a time I wouldn’t touch until about beta 4 or 5. You could argue there’s not much to look at when it comes to ios17 , but it feels nice & smooth atm. I do wish they’d do something with the CC though & allow standby to stay on all night whilst in sleep mode. I’ve submitted feedback.
Ronnie@JRP69 Are you noticing that some of the colors are darker/lighter? For example, in the calculator app it’s like a red-ish color instead of orange.
@ronniie certainly am ! Haven’t noticed anywhere else yet , but this certainly smacked me around the chops.
@JRP69 glad it isn’t just me! 🤣 Other places I’ve noticed is the widget center, cellular is a darker green. In settings, the icons are “lighter”, more of a pastel feeling. Very interesting!

@scifi451 beta 2 working very nicely. Crazy to say but even with only this 2nd beta I’m finding it very slick. Crossfade seems hit & miss for me & other stuff is just personal preference. My battery is much better than beta 1. For me beta 2 is a nice step in the right direction.
@JRP69 this is the first time I have gotten on the beta train. Not sure what possessed me this year to do it. 😂
@scifi451 in the past when only open to developers & having to pay , I think put a lot of public off. Apple make it so so simple now for everyone. I’ve been testing since iOS 12 I think as public tester. Normally jumped on from beta 2 but last 3 yrs have from start. Apple betas have come a long way I think. As long as you make a back up in case something goes wrong. I also test on my Ultra which is a whole new risky ball game, although again beta 2 very smooth for me.
@JRP69 maybe will upgrade to beta two.
