Usually I tell people I study Kuiper Belt Objects, because that name is more easily recognized by the general public. But today I have learned that I can make *Those People* cringe just by saying the more proper name.
So, I study Trans-Neptunian Objects.
@sundogplanets Since I learned about the Kuiper Belt, I learned Dutch and realized I'd been pronouncing it wrong the whole time:

Closer would be "ko-per". The Dutch ui sound doesn't appear in English.
