I’ve beaten him three times now, but my god he is terrifying and hard to kill at lower levels. My 55 barb just pastes him into a wall, but I was just playing my lvl 22 necro and he almost killed me multiple times.

Reminds me of old school Diablo in that he just appears randomly in dungeons out of the blue. He's relentless and hard to kill.

I think I've seen him once, around level 15-20. He killed me pretty quickly and I haven't seen him since.

I actually would have forgotten he existed if it wasn't for people pointing out he's a thing on social media.

He randomly spawns in dungeons; so, depending on how much you run dungeons, you might hardly see him. For hardcore characters, I personally think he is too difficult for being introduced so early or randomly, but for non-hardcore, I think it is fine and fun. I wasn't able to actually kill him on my sorceress until I was around level 50 with 9 health potions and even then it was a very difficult fight.

As a lvl 50 necro I just run when I see him. He ignores all my minions and just beelines it straight to me. I could maybe take him now if I was using a golem but I sacrificed my golem for my current build.

It's a little cheesy, and ruins the fun of a Butcher attack; but you if run very tight circles around him, he can't hit you.

I love that he spawns randomly lol... "The Butcher" has lived rent free in my head as something to be terrified of since the OG Diablo, and it's a nice nod to have him terrorizing people now.

I have only beat him once of the four times I've seen him since release. Was on a sorc, and was doing laps around a pillar while my hydra wore him down. Felt like a 15 minute fight. And I feel like there were 11 potions used. All in the name of trying to stay away from him.

Yes, he still scares me. I've killed him a number of times on WT2 and WT3. Then I got to WT4 at level 65 and he's practically unkillable again. I chased a treasure goblin straight into him, so now I've taken to calling the goblins "Lazarus"... as in "The bastard led us into a trap! Now everyone is dead, killed by a demon he called the Butcher."

I'm at the same level. He was going so fast that my skellys couldn't even get a swipe in. I was running away, they were chasing. It was an impossible situation

Absolutely, I was getting wrecked by him in WT3 until I started getting my build together. I was able to beat him 3 ish time before I got to WT4.. and now he is unkillable again ☠️

I met him 3 times during one day. Honestly the first time I didn't even notice as I was chasing a treasuregoblin, when I got dropped to low health that's when I noticed the healthbar.
