Google Pixel 6 Pro and UGgreen 4 port 100W Charger issues - Lemmy.World
I own two Google Pixel 6 Pro phones that were purchased at the same time new in
Oct. of 2021. We have been charging our phones with the Google 30W USB-C charger
for over 2 years and have never had any issues; however, its a single port
charger, and last year for Black Friday I purchased the UGreen 4 port 100W
charger thinking I could improve performance by having the multiple ports.
Unfortunately, sometimes when I connect either phone to the charger, it will
register as rapidly charging and then immediately stop, forever repeating this
behavior and the battery actually drains. I have tried two different Google
Pixel 6 Pros and 2 different USB-C cables, but the only thing to seemingly make
a difference is to stop using the UGreen charger. Does anyone else have this
same charger or issue? I noticed the issue the same day after I received the
charger in Dec. but I didn’t pay it much attention because it only happens some
of the time, but at this point it is annoying and I feel like the charger is
either defective or not really able to support the Pixel 6 Pro as advertised.

General Performance and AMD GFX (RX 7900 XTX) Issues - Lemmy.World
So, recently I got into No Man’s Sky and I can’t believe how terrible this game
feels to play at times considering it came out in 2016. My system specs are: -
Intel i7-8700K 6-core @ 3.7Ghz (Boost 4.7Ghz) - 64GB DDR4 @ 2666Mhz - AMD Radeon
RX 7900 XTX - 512GB Samsung 960 PRO I am running on default HIGH preset @ 1080P
and occasionally during starship launch / landing, teleport, or fast spin around
with the camera, the game slows to a crawl for a second or so… If I try to play
on the default ULTRA preset @ 1080P, the game tends to slow to a crawl during
normal jet pack surfing around the planet. I mean, I know I am playing it on an
8th generation Intel processor and Linux using Steam Proton, but good Lord…
there is no excuse for this. I can play RDR2 (a newer title and much more
demanding game) max default GFX settings and it screams @ 1080P; it’s not like I
am 4K gaming here… If anyone has any suggestions, please… I am all ears. In
addition, if anyone else is playing using a Steam Controller, the default
supported config is great; however, the right trackpad for camera look is kind
of screwed up due to simulating a joystick with a deadzone. If you change the
config to have no deadzone it worrks 100% better. Personally I would prefer
mouse look on the right trackpad, but I don’t know if No Man’s Sky can support
dual input like that.
