LinkedIn gives me anxiety when I look at it. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ₯΄πŸ₯Ί
@amandacsb2 It used to be a good way to keep in touch with former colleagues. Now? Not so much.
@EJRock most of my contacts there are from a job I was fired from in a group email. I then sued them for unlawful labor practices. I won. Lol
@amandacsb2 You might be my hero.
@EJRock it was a $1M class action lawsuit. My coworkers were thrilled! The company was not so thrilled. πŸ˜‚
@amandacsb2 tell me why
@ocsweetest reminds me of all the previous jobs and the drama. And my ex used that account in court to try and prove I could go get a teaching job when none were hiring then unless bilingual.
@amandacsb2 that’s understandable! I personally hate that it has become the new norm for submitting resumes.
@ocsweetest oh Lordy. I’ve not applied for a job since I was in my early 20s! Every single one of my jobs since college I got because I knew a friend. Even my teaching jobs.
β€œHey, you know them. You want a job?” Sure. πŸ˜†
@amandacsb2 yes it’s crazy. Most companies don’t even look at the resume you email them. It feels like they just want to see your picture, if you have lots of connections, a fancy college degree, etc.. it’s so annoying.
@amandacsb2
if you're flinching, you should stop πŸ˜„
@amandacsb2 i had an acct years ago. I retired from accounting in 2010. I occasionally still got headhunter calls and emails until recently. I finally deleted the acct. I wouldn't hire me now.
@Ocxg1958 lol. You have the perfect job now!
@amandacsb2 come be a crossing guard!
@Ocxg1958 i@ working on a little PT job right now. Should start soon. I’ll keep you posted!
