I’ve liked Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassination Classroom. Cool with any genre you guys have to recommend, since I enjoyed stuff like Zombieland Saga too.

If you want something to laugh at check out Grand Blue

Something to laugh at but it is an isekai The Eminence in Shadow or KONOSUBA

Or an SOL to laugh at BOCCHI THE ROCK!

Have you watched the popular stuff like Attack on Titan or Death Note?
Demon slayer
Oshi no Ko
Hell's paradise
I've seen Oshi no Ko mentioned a lot. Is it really good?

It's an exploration of the entertainment industry that does not shy away from the darker side of it. It's still airing, so maybe keep it in your back pocket, but it's pretty darn good. Same creator as Kaguya-sama.

On that note, I would also recommend Kaguya-sama. A romance where two people are trying to get the other to confess their feelings first.

I recommend Jujutsu Kaisen.
Is it a long series or one that's coming to an end?
It has 2 seasons so far. The manga is planning to end this year, so possibly 2-3 more seasons tops.

Chainsaw Man

Spy x Family

Bocchi the Rock

One Piece

Death Note

Call of the Night

Jujutsu Kaisen 0

Hunter x Hunter (2011)

Cowboy Bebop

Bubble

Ya Boy Kongming

Got recommended Hunter x Hunter 2011 here too. For my next long Shonen I'll be picking it.
Has anyone recommended Gundam yet? No? Good, I'm recommending Gundam.
Now, the whole thing might confuse you, and there are a ton of separate Gundam shows each one in it's own continuity. So, to make things simple, I'm going to just suggest two of them. The currently airing Gundam: Witch From Mercury, and the classic that started everything, Mobile Suit Gundam.
The 3 compilation movies of the classic Gundam are on the Gundam.info Youtube channel for free right now, by the way! There's several other shows in that channel and you might even be able to watch G-Witch depending on your location.
Gundam is awesome. I got into it after I got into Gunpla and wanted to find out about the series. Zakus got the best design. I've seen the first movie trilogy, but not the rest yet. Was the oldest anime I've seen and it held up well.
@NightOwl @Varyag I’ve always been a big fan of the Gouf.
Gouf is so cool. Love the blue color scheme and the whip. I want to build his Zaku one day. Been eyeing MG kit.
Gwitch is great. And I have been watching through the entire backlog over the past few months. finally done with UC!
It's well worth the investment, much of the story and art is so amazing!
  • Big fan of GWitch. It's a really strong story, and the art is beautiful.

  • Mob Psycho 100 is a completed action series that makes me think of slice of life coming of age story meets DBZ meets urban fantasy. The story is very strong and the art is used in a fairly clever way.

  • If you want dark/horror, then Psycho Pass was a fairly popular thriller.

Paranoia Agent

An elementary school kid dubbed with the title "shounen bat" or "lil' slugger" has been going around attacking people with his bent, golden bat.

That sounds intersting. I'm imagining Ness from Earthbound.

In no particular order here are some that I like that I haven't seen recommened yet:
86
Vinland Saga
Mashle: Magic and Muscles
Steins Gate
Monster
86

According to the Republic of San Magnolia, their ongoing war against the Giadian Empire has no casualties—however, that is mere propaganda. While the silver-haired Alba of the Republic's eighty-five sectors live safely behind protective walls, those of different appearances are interned in a secret eighty-sixth faction. Known within the military as the Eighty-Six, they are forced to fight against the Empire's autonomous Legion under the command of the Republican "Handlers." Vladilena Milizé is assigned to the Spearhead squadron to replace their previous Handler. Shunned by her peers for being a fellow Eighty-Six supporter, she continues to fight against their inhumane discrimination. Shinei Nouzen is the captain of the Spearhead squadron. Infamous for being the sole survivor of every squadron he's been in, he insists on shouldering the names and wishes of his fallen comrades. When the fates of these young souls from two different worlds collide, will it ignite the spark that lights their path to salvation, or will they burn themselves in the flames of despair? Could maybe try kekkai sensen, has a second season called beyond iirc
Kekkai Sensen

Pursuing photography as a hobby, Leonardo Watch is living a normal life with his parents and sister. That's a wild description. Definitely got me curious now.

If you liked Cyberpunk 2077, you might also like https://anilist.co/anime/13601/PSYCHOPASS/. It depicts a sci-fi future where they attempt to prevent crime by measuring peoples mental state to varying degrees of success. It's widely considered a great show and a quintessential Sci-Fi Anime.
I've heard the name a lot, but never knew what it was about. But, hearing it is sci-fi definitely moves it into my watch list now.
  • 86: A commander named Lena commands a drone squad against an autonomous robot army. The drone squad is populated by the Colorata minority, the 86.
  • Gakkougurashi!: Just watch it. Don't look up ANYTHING about it.
  • Violet Evergarden: A child soldier discovers what it's like to be human. Don't marathon this. It will make you cry
  • Little Witch Academia: Anime Harry Potter
  • Mob Psycho 100: Psychic kid is mentored by con artist claiming to be psychic.
  • MagiRevo: Princess Anis without magical powers wants to fly so develops magicology. She takes in Euphyllia, her brother's ex-fiancee, as an assistant.

Patlabor, specifically "Patlabor ON TELEVISION" and "Patlabor New Files" (sometimes called New OVA) are takes place in a very comfy near-future environment and is about a group of policemembers who are under the division for dealing with any mech incidents, meaning giant robot fights will happen in a very down-to-earth setting

I also recommend the movies if you enjoy the GITS movie as it's the same director and he likes exploring a various amount of social commentary, from criticism of institutional inefficiency to existential reflections, (just dont watch the 3rd movie, it has nothing to do with anyone who made the original Patlabor)

There's also the original Patlabor OVA, but I personally didn't enjoy that nearly as much as the tv anime, and some of the characters act a little different, so it might be jarring if you watch that before the tv anime despite it being chronologically made first

Mechs fights got me sold on it. When it comes do the movies do you recommend watching the anime show first and then the 2 movies(ignoring the 3rd)?
I would say watching the things made before the movie gives you a better grasp of who the characters are and feel more attached to what's going on, though the movies are very different from the OVA and tv show in terms of vibe, the characters act a lot more like how you would expect having watched the tv show. And I should also warn, the movies have very minimal mech fighting!
