My instance is arranging to betray #Mastodon with the dishonest racist manipulator, and "federate" with meta.

Rohingya dead mean nothing, Trump means nothing, Cambridge Analytica that installed qanon in millions of brains, means nothing, russian subversion is just "news"

We need much faster protection of #Mastodon, instances are making choices for us. We need instances to pledge to not just avoid meta like the plague, but defederating instances that metastasize.

@kevinrns Doesn't big social fedederating with us neuter their entire business model? Nobody will see their ads unless they follow the advertiser (in which case presumably they WANT to see them).

As for harvesting our public posts, anyone can do that now, they don't even have to have an account. There are a lot of servers to look at though. Being federated won't give them any more access than they already have.
