E-Bike update

#Halfords or should that be #Halfrauds have remained silent on the bike.

Never contacted me as promised and are utterly silent over me returning the 2nd bike to have failed after less than 400 miles.

I informed them that the bike was being rejected as not fit for purpose, that it was of insufficient quality and durability and that I would only accept a refund of the entire purchase price.

I 'was' willing to purchase another bike from them.

They've already tried the 'oh it's been xx amount of time since purchase... doesn't matter.

Their own staff have already stated that those bikes get a lot of returns and their own site is littered with refurbished used ones up for sale.

Because of their failure to respond. I will instead be doing a section 75 with the credit card company and shopping elsewhere instead.

I'm leaning towards the Lapierre Overvolt 5.5 Hardtail or the Lapierre E-Explorer 4.5.

I 'was' willing to spend 1k extra

As Martin Lewis, late of this place (cos he created an account but didn't stay long!), says, it wasn't SADFART!

Satisfactory quality As Described (SAD) and Fit for purpose And last a Reasonable length of Time (FART).

Exactly... a bike that fails and shuts off every time you use it after 350 miles and is replaced... not repaired... Immediately replaced just 8 weeks after purchase... Then due to winter and surgical recovery, I don't use the bike for 4 months... and then it starts shutting off every time you use it and it's done 361 miles.... One failure is just that... one failure.

2 identical failures after identical amount of ride distance... that's more than a coincidence, likely a flaw.
