Some recent #BoardGame plays:

A new couple started showing up at my FLGS. Introduced them to Ticket to Ride: Europe last Thursday. Brought along the trains from The Little Plastic Train Company, which are always a hit.

Last Saturday, we played #SpiritIsland. I think it might have been a bit much for them, but they got the hang of it by the end.

Yesterday, Architects of the West Kingdom hit the table. First time at 5, and it's still great, even with that many people!

@Scribs It's the Folded Space insert for the base game and Jagged Earth. Much cheaper and lighter than wooden inserts. Would definitely recommend their products.

Spirit Island is my favorite game! Looking forward to getting Feather and Flame soon.

@LadyMarth01 I made my own insert out of foamcore to hold feather & flame, Branch & Claw, and jagged earth! gonna have to remake something with NI coming soon, probably gonna either 3d print or make a cool wood box :)

@Scribs I imagine I'll have to buy a third insert from Folded Space and lug around a third box to hold the complete set.

Still annoyed that I can buy the cardboard spirit boards for the Horizons of Spirit Island spirits, but to get the cards I had to buy Horizons regardless. Yet I'll still probably buy the cardboard boards, anyway. 😆

A wood box would definitely be cool! A friend of mine has one for Pandemic, and it's pretty awesome.

@coffeentacos To be clear, it's actually two inserts: one in the case game box to hold the base game and Branch & Claw, then another in Jagged Earth to hold Jagged Earth and Promos 1 & 2/Feather and Flame.

That said, I quite like it! Easy to set up, just need glue. Definitely speeds up setup and cleanup. I had to reapply glue recently in some spots due to wear, but that's not too surprising given how often I play and how much stuff is jammed in these boxes.

@coffeentacos On the one hand, I want an all-in-one solution, especially with the inevitable third box needed soon. On the other hand, that's going to be one hefty container that also wouldn't necessarily have the room to fit future content. No real winning here.

Unless there's a way to pack it all in Jagged Earth by removing the risers on the trays... Guess we'll just have to wait and see
