Hey check it out! @paul wrote some code specifically for the Mac app.
@todd @paul Hey! Thanks for the new feature to change the App icon in Ivory for Mac! Is there a way of also applying the custom icon to the stage if the app is in the stage manager sidebar? Cheers!
@felixmueller @paul Weird. I’d say file a bug/feedback with Apple to support alternate icons in Stage Manager?
@todd @felixmueller 1. You can run Stage Mangler on a Mac? 2. Why would you run it on a Mac?

@paul @todd @felixmueller
If you’d asked Apple 2., they’d just refer you to 1.

Me 🤷

@paul @todd @felixmueller I’ve surprisingly seen several people using it on the Mac. Don’t quite understand it myself, but they seem to like it.
Use Stage Manager to organize apps and windows on Mac

Stage Manager organizes apps and windows so that your desktop is clutter-free and you can stay focused.

Apple Support
@paul @todd @felixmueller It “clicked” for me when I realized stage manager was better that constantly swiping to access different Spaces.
@Aaron @paul @todd @felixmueller
Stage Manger on Mac doesn’t replace Spaces. You can use it with Spaces. It gives you Stages within each Space. It’s like nested folders in the file system!
@platkus @paul @todd @felixmueller Oh I know you can use both. For me, SM replaces my need for Spaces.

@paul @todd @felixmueller There are literally dozens of us!

For real on larger desktops I find it much easier to group windows in stage manager than to deal with multiple spaces. Having all the windows appear on a single screen in Expose when you need that is also a big bonus. IMO it actually works better on macOS than on iPadOS
