Honest question - what's a tankie? I feel like I've seen them mentioned a ton on Lemmy but I'd never heard the term prior to a few days ago. From the image it looks like a maga/skinhead combo?

Oh you are thinking of social reformists who twiddle their thumbs while conditions worsen by the minute in the global south, but any direct action is seen as too extreme. You can't vote socialism into existence through a capitalist "democracy".
