Exciting news, friends! I recently had a thought-provoking conversation with the brilliant Robert Reich, where we delved into the intricate web of late-stage capitalism, wealth inequality, and the imperative for change. We explored the myths surrounding billionaires and the real factors contributing to the wealth gap.

Big Questions With Former Secretary Of Labor Robert Reich

Professor, author, lawyer, political commentator and staffer for four Presidents, Robert Reich answers questions from George Takei.

The Big Picture

@georgetakei
I so love that Robert Reich's last name is the German word for rich.
(In one of its meanings)

Brilliant person.

@georgetakei
It is high time we stopped misusing the word 'elite' to describe the cancer at the apex of our society. Elite should be reserved for top athletes, great artists and brilliant minds, people who deserve our respect.

Call the super-rich what they are: PARASITES.

@georgetakei This is something I always ask when I see terms like "late stage capitalism".

What do you see replacing it? I've been looking for something credible for 20 years, but apart from a kinder gentler capitalism I haven't found it.

@tokensane @georgetakei what if we just said "late stage feudalism" instead? Simpler?
@georgetakei you do fantastic work. Keep it up
@PathOfHeaven Thank you!
@georgetakei you are most welcome!! I look forward to reading and seeing more of the great work you're doing.
@georgetakei Congratulations!Howard 😎🀚
@georgetakei Poverty is part and parcel of capitalism and money. If the price of commodity A is higher than commodity B, then money can work. If everyone and everything commanded the same price then money would be redundant. Money is an expression of inequality.
