Oh wow. Jake Tapper just directed CNN control room to get rid of #Trump's visit to cafe after arraignment: "I don't need to see any more of that. He's trying to turn it into a spectacle..Enough of that. We've seen it already." This is good. More plz.

AND Nicolle Wallace also did same on MSNBC. This is good & media should do this from now on. Don't give Trump attention he desperately craves & wants. There are much better things to show than Trump trying to celebrate this moment

@GottaLaff On ABC, they covered it as a campaign event. Despicable.

@FrankAmari @GottaLaff

Campaign event? Trump’s a traitor. If the Dems had a spine, they’d ban him from running for anything, ever.

@Aleggra @FrankAmari @GottaLaff I mean sure, they'd love to. Though at the moment I'd love to know through what legal means.

@ariaflame @FrankAmari @GottaLaff

I’m no legal expert but I’m sure the Dems have access to the best legal minds. Dem timidity has always been a problem. Republicans on the other hand are relentlessly aggressive and corrupt. That’s why we’re in this mess.

Not saying Dems should use lawless methods but they need to be much more aggressive when it comes to fighting Republican corruption.

@Aleggra @FrankAmari @GottaLaff Sure. But you got to admit trying to do it legally is hard mode compared to how the GOP do things. And just because they're not as loud about it doesn't mean they're not getting things done in spite of GOP obstruction. (And you and I know if they were loud about it others would criticise them for doing that)

@ariaflame @FrankAmari @GottaLaff

I’m sure that Dems could find legal channels. It isn’t easy but it’s worth at least trying. I think of how Al Franken didn’t even try to rebut R lies. He just left. Unfortunately, the Dems aren’t fighters. They’re my Party & I desperately want them to fight for us. I’m beginning to wonder if they know how.

@GottaLaff agree, this is how media should cover it: don’t let Trump turn his indictments into campaign events with free advertising. I was watching WaPo live and was very disappointed that they kept their cameras on Trump’s bakery stop.

@GottaLaff Fuck Trump...real journalist would be slamming that POS. No legit news space should be giving him any type of "promo" space. He should be torn apart by *every* quality news source.
@GottaLaff Trump yelled,"Food for everyone, and skipped out not paying for anything" That's what Tapper was hidding.
@GatekeepKen I know. I tooted about it.
@GottaLaff
What a travesty for the American public. So pissed..
@GottaLaff Jake Tapper – soon to be fired by CNN owner John Malone.
@GottaLaff wish he'd at least mentioned that he'd stiffed the bakery owner on the bill, as usual
@GottaLaff sounds good.
I wish MSNBC had done the same with that lawyer Habba, spouting propaganda :-( that was really disturbing.
@GottaLaff 2016 would like to have a word.
@GottaLaff The best way to convince media to stop is not watching their shows. Not just now but also until they go back to real reporting.
@irisRichardson But that isn’t happening, so…
@GottaLaff Ratings on the coverage of the trump procession to the court house beat OJ's chase episode.

@GottaLaff

What I'd LIKE to see is Tapper, or any other interviewer, actually cut the mic when a MAGA answers a valid question about Trump by immediately launching into the standard Biden/Hunter/laptop/Clinton talking points to deflect the question.

I would LOVE to hear the howls of 'censorship'...and then see the immediate tempering of the outrageousness of their responses. We allow their crap...and it's far, far past time to stop doing that.

@GottaLaff @mmalc and yet later that day they kept cutting to the scene of his fundraising rally.

Honestly, the court should put a gag order on all politicians who seek to make political hay from Trump’s federal criminal indictment. The fundraising is based on fraudulent assertions, and the attention it generates is contaminating the jury pool. Down with the court of public opinion.

@GottaLaff @bacchus1234
Reagan killed the equal-time rule, so why should we give the right any time at all?

@GottaLaff All I can think of is the late, great, British comedian Linda Smith. On a panel game, someone brought up convicted perjurer Jeffrey Archer. Another panelist said, "Don't give him the oxygen of publicity!"

And Linda said, "I'm not all that happy with him having the oxygen of oxygen."

This is exactly what these loons depend upon, making enough of a spectacle to get attention. Let me give you a case study.

About 20 years ago, the governor allowed the Rainbow Flag to fly at the state house during Pride for the first time. Republican, no less.

Well, that summoned Fred Phelps and his inbred crew.

And the *only* news coverage they got was when they'd left town. So far as I know, they never came back again.

It's what they need, to be the center of attention, even if they have to make themselves look like idiots to get it. It's what drives Trump, MTG, Boebert, George Anthony Kitara Revache Devolder Santos, all of them.

We need to cut off their drug of choice: attention.
