PSA: nobody can receive those custom new iMessage stickers unless they’re also running the iOS 17 beta so all of your friends that you thought hated you for the past week aren’t ignoring you, they just can’t see them.
@snazzyq I don’t have friends so not a problem for me personally
@snazzyq They must’ve all got the beta months ago
@snazzyq if only these features weren’t tied to an entire OS release (like every other app)…
@snazzyq I can’t wait for the awkwardness that will pursue
@snazzyq Outside of major security holes or potentially damaging bugs, I honestly don’t think it’s necessary to warn beta-testers about minor inconveniences or whupsies. Like, I get the desire to help folks out, but they have literally opted-in for…heck usually *pursued and requested*…the opportunity to both fuck around AND find out. Failure is not just an option, it’s the whole damned mission statement. 😀
@snazzyq also I have found that people who send stickers from iOS 16 I don’t receive either. (I’m on 17)
@snazzyq Same deal for audio message transcription, according to the presentation. A real head scratcher.
@snazzyq Even the Memoji stickers that are not new to iOS 17?
@snazzyq are you running it on your everyday phone? Is it stable enough?
@snazzyq Is this only when dropping them on top of the chat, not when sending them “as” the message? According to Apple, the stickers can be used anywhere
“Your stickers drawer is in the emoji keyboard, so you can use stickers anywhere you can access emoji — including apps from the App Store.”
@snazzyq idk if you have noticed but this has been fixed as of beta 2! ITS STICKER TIME!
