@caseyliss be thankful you didn’t find Apple support’s chat (over iMessage). I always think this is going to be the quickest and most convenient route, but it’s *far* from it.
Half the time it doesn’t even feel like they read what you write before giving canned responses. If it’s anything beyond surface level, you have to get escalated to a phone call anyway.
We've known for decades that translucency in UIs looks really cool, but is extremely difficult to design in a way that works with arbitrary content across versatile situations.
With the glass-redesign rumors, many of us thought, “If anyone can do it, it's Apple! They must've finally solved it."
They haven’t.
It still looks cool in some contexts, and utterly fails in others.
@caseyliss have you tried Ubiquiti’s wifi AR mapper?
WiFiman is here to save your home or office network from sluggish surfing, endless buffering, and congested data channels. With this free-to-use (and ad-free) app you can: - Detect and connect to all available Wi-Fi networks devices instantly. - Scan network subnet for details on available devices…
@caseyliss Listening to the hate for 1Password 8, especially because the UI is now electron, is really getting old. Talk about judging a book by its cover, that's exactly what you're doing every time this topic comes up....so judgy.
My family and I have been using 1Password 8 since it came out and you know what? It's just fine. In fact, it's better than fine, it's fast and works well.
Maybe you should dismount that anti-electron high horse for a moment and read this:

@marcoarment You could argue that Ubiquiti is what you get when Apple gets out of the way of its own talented engineers: https://9to5mac.com/2020/06/27/ubiquiti/
I agree that I don't think Ubiquiti could have been a thing within Apple.
What's more, Ubiquiti has cross-platform apps and web interfaces that are approachable from any platform.
