Stop calling yourself an "ally" - we don't need allies. 🧵
@TofuTheSquirrel - I disagree.
White people benefit from white supremacy and systemic racism, whether they "see themselves as part of the community" or not.
Except for the miniscule number who ACTIVELY work to dismantle whiteness, white people are super comfortable leaning into that safety and benefit from it when it suits them - even of its unthinkingly done, it's still being done.
To paraphrase Angela Davis, "it isn't enough to simply not be racist, we have to become ANTI racist."
Being individually oblivious to systemic racism isn't an excuse for benefiting from it.
It's 2023, it's not like this shit is a surprise anymore - I'd argue that no white person can honestly say they didn't know whiteness existed.
I'm afraid we'll have to wait a long time before we get rid of white supremacism. As long as they will consider there is a « white community » instead of or before the human community, assholes will remain assholes. Fuck them.
Since then, I'm glad to shit where they eat with my melted-blood children.
(Pardon my french)
@HolgerFiallo - I'm not interested in pitying racists and white supremacists. They can all die in a fire.
@HolgerFiallo - fighting against racism isn't hate, it's love.
Hate is pitying racists and letting them continue without consequences for their violence.
