Hello everyone! What community that hasn't been created yet would you like to see on Lemmy? - Lemmy.world

musictheory, Italian language, e-pals, flowers, songwriting, endlesswar, Galileo, van Gogh, classicalmusic...

I realise a lot of these probably exist already, but I couldn't find them.

What do you mean by Italian language? Like linguistics / language learning? Because there’s a bunch of Italian-speaking communities over feddit.it
I don't know how to search it, though.
go to the communities tab, select All instead of Local and search Italy, Italian etc.
https://browse.feddit.de/
Had anyone else had an issue subscribing to lemmygrad communities? Whenever I paste those into the search on lemmy.one, it returns no results.
I'm down for a music theory and songwriting sub on here. I'm too coward to create one just yet.
Yeah I wouldn't know how to. To do it competently, I mean.

AITA, WhitePeopleTwitter, BlackPeopleTwitter, MaliciousCompliance, PettyRevenge

Thankfully me_irl already exists

Yes please gimme my daily dose of pettiness and satisfaction.

Recreated maliciouscompliance (one of my favorite communities)! Mostly reposts for now, but OC should trickle in slowly.

I’d like to find some sort of 3D art community. Also, since more specific communities like Blender, Houdini, Maya, etc. Just more art communities in general.

Some, I guess “self-help” communities would be nice too. Like I just recently got into the Loseit subreddit so something like that. Other mental and physical health communities would be really nice.

And there have been some communities that I’d just like to see grow and become more active like film/TV and book communities.

I’m also new to Lemmy, so I might just be looking in the wrong places.

/r/WordAvalanches
Old People Facebook. ORDER CORN.
That's a mean spirited community
Would love to see more car communities, unfortunately I don't expect the super niche car subreddits to move to lemmy unless it really blows up.
Same! Honestly, r/cars was never the greatest car community, they hate everything except the mx5

Miata Is Always the Answer.

I didn’t hang around cars long enough to see if it was a Miata circlejerk but I lurked in Miata without owning one…

https://lemmy.world/c/cars ? From https://browse.feddit.de/
I would love to see GolfGTI spring up over here.
I hope lemmydeals.com gets off the ground.
I'd like to see something similar to WritingPrompts
I've seen that somewhere
Looks like I have to search more

non credible defense. sadly they are not leaving reddit
We can rebuild it.
/r/talesfromtechsupport

It exists on Compuverse's instance: https://compuverse.uk/c/talesfromtechsupport talesfromtechsupport

You can also get a techsupportgore sub from them as well: https://compuverse.uk/c/techsupportgore techsupportgore

Uber, Doordash, all kinds of gigs
Basically all the wholesome subs that brighten your day with all their "aww"-material, be it animals, cute videos of people being nice to each other, maybe wholesome memes as well and things like that
https://lemmy.world/c/aww
Oh nice, thank you! And kudos to your name here :) <3
/r/ThinkPads & /r/sbcgaming (or maybe call that /r/handhelds because that's more obvious), I love those 2 subreddits dearly, but I am not a good moderator
/r/mildlyinteresting was always more entertaining than it had any right to be.

If anyone makes a community, definitely put it in New Communities so others can see!
Communities for specific kinds of pets/animals like Wigglebutts and Corgis. Advice communities like AskMechanics. Satire communities like AskAShittyMechanic. ProjectCars.
I already made a place to post and talk about doodle dogs. I was going to do all dogs, but that would be too much to moderate.
VelvetHippos and Tippytaps would be pretty awesome.

I already made a "Padres" community for my local baseball team. Here's hoping some other Padres fan hop aboard here.

I have been trying to make an "Ask Lemmy" community, but the site just hangs when I click submit. Any ideas?

Yes, I had the same thing when creating a "Greece" community. It happens when a community with that name has already been created and deleted. Message one of the admins and he will fix it for you!
I saw that there is already one on another server. I wouldn't imagine that have any effect here. Fediverse can be weird.
It doesn't, you can have two communities with the same name as long as they are on different servers!
Just made a new one.
Have you noticed that it takes forever to submit posts and comments?
Woohoo, another SD local! I'll definitely join in the Padres community, just as soon as I figure out how to find it... (I'm still learning and still a bit confused)

https://lemmy.world/c/padres

Woohoo! Yay! Come join me and let's get this thing started! I'm not really sure what I'm doing here either.

r/dnd and r/battlemaps

It's shocking that they don't already exist. Or maybe I just can't find them.

They actually do exist.

https://lemmy.world/c/[email protected]

https://lemmy.world/c/dnd

It'll probably take a little while for them to populate and become active, though.

https://lemmy.world/c/[email protected] is the general TTRPG alternative
Minecraft basically only has a tankie one and a dead one
I’ve always been fascinated by the things people carry with them on a daily basis! An EverydayCarry / EDC community, or WhatsInMyBag community would be cool!
The associated subcommunities within them as well. Pocket knives, flashlights, pens, notebooks, lighters, etc.
