I seem to remember every non-RWNJ ducking away from asking questions and just assuming the worst when in the end there were some 3 e/ms with classified markings, all meeting schedules sent to her by third parties that were declassified by default the moment the meeting happened? Some rule of law they enforced that time.

Every elected official knew that, and the Republicans played it like a broken record just to smear her. Comey just had to get his sticky fingers into it and nail the lid shut while voting was happening.
