Cats never wonder why people bring them food. They never wonder if they deserve to be massaged and tucked away into warm arms, or why there is a lap to sit on, and fine blankets and pillows when the lap is not there.

Cats have a deep and centered sense of deserving all of these things. "Of course I should be loved."

I think it's one of the things I like most about cats. And when I feel depressed I try to emulate them.

@futurebird Iz disagree.

My sisfur Tessa & I routinely bring prey to hooman. We bring live prey & leave at his feet while he on Zoom calls.

My brofur @thurgood used to bring stuffed animals from kid’s room and leave on hooman bed when hooman returned from business trip. Thurgood was feral and has integrated into clowder.

We catz take turns getting petting from hooman in morning and each have our rituals for socializing with hooman during day.

Our rituals not hooman rituals, but cat rituals.
