@ham_bitious Mostly because of Winlink Express and Vara FM/Vara HF working much better on Windows (in addition to so many other ham radio apps). Also, external sound card management is much less of a PITA in Windows.
jeffluszcz@ad6dm I got one of those at Microcenter ($57!!) It's pretty good for a $57 laptop, I like that is uses 12V DC in which works with my battery set up. Some models have a cellular model / SIM card slot inside!
