@Popehat if that report turns out to be true, who makes these decisions, and what chance is it that it can be changed? Can they appeal it? (Maybe questions for a podcast, in case you are, say, considering addressing this case next week.)

Apparently it is because she handled the related case before. They conventionally give it to the judge who’s familiar with the case already.

@jonhendry @Popehat ok, I guess that makes sense, although hard to see how justice will be served unless every decision she makes is overridden by appeals.

I can only assume that the plan is to ask for a change of venue to DC and then win on appeal when she denies it.
