Report: Rule of law to be shot out of Cannon
@Popehat if that report turns out to be true, who makes these decisions, and what chance is it that it can be changed? Can they appeal it? (Maybe questions for a podcast, in case you are, say, considering addressing this case next week.)

@jumunius @Popehat

Apparently it is because she handled the related case before. They conventionally give it to the judge who’s familiar with the case already.

@jonhendry @Popehat ok, I guess that makes sense, although hard to see how justice will be served unless every decision she makes is overridden by appeals.

@jumunius @jonhendry @Popehat

I can only assume that the plan is to ask for a change of venue to DC and then win on appeal when she denies it.

@jonhendry @jumunius @Popehat
It all makes sense now, why they moved the initial warrants case from Palm Beach to her jurisdiction. Now she has advantageous familiarity with the case. Someone was playing the long game... OTOH, the same argument applies to Reinhart, who would NOT favor Trump!

@jonhendry @jumunius @Popehat

She's familiar with the case...just not the law, considering that she was obliterated on appeal.
