Apple showed some incredible technology this morning and it feels really weird to have no desire to own it.

@chockenberry as a rule I dont want any company, esp not a FAANG, to essentially see everything I myself am seeing. the corp/gov panopticon is creepy and growing out of control. we need to push back and enforce red lines

(I am assuming their headset/goggles can do AR not just VR.)

@synlogic @chockenberry It does AR, but no video leaves the device unless you specifically join a video call and share. Even the, the video does not go to apple. It has a dedicated onboard chip to do all video processing locally. That’s part of why it’s so expensive.
