When you can resolve your antitrust suit alleging that the defendant is a monopolist by agreeing to merge with that monopolist, something is seriously wrong. In this case the culprit is forty years of failing to take antitrust seriously.

PGA Tour and LIV Golf Agree to Merger

The partnership is a major victory for Saudi ambitions in sports, but the announcement split players. PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan described his meeting with golfers late in the afternoon as “heated.”

@marklemley
Under the terms of the new PGA LIV deal, America will operate holes 1-8 and 12-18, while Saudi Arabia will be responsible for 9-11.

@marklemley ya know, when the judiciary in the US successfully stops a merger, I wonder what the hell the companies did to piss off whoever ruled against them.

The "judiciary" in the US is a big part of the problem. From the top on down, DOJ's Garland is Fed Society and Republican white male...Given all the other criminality in the party, it is laughable to think the DOJ has clean hands..

@marklemley good for them. Obviously they don't need me to watch.
