@wikkit it still blows me away that the ISS can be resolved from the ground, let alone silhouetted in front of the sun.

@ChateauErin It is impressive, I tried to observe it on a 10” Dobsonian and failed.

I did the math once on if you could image some of the secret satellites in geosynch, but it turns out you’d need access to a much larger telescope and a telescope owner who doesn’t notice you adding a solar filter.

@wikkit yeah I guess those satellites are not only smaller, but orbiting about 100 times further up
