Today 79 years ago, Allied forces began their invasion of Nazi occupied France, but this wasn't the first time that an American took the fight to the Nazis. 84 years ago, Isadore Greenbaum attended the German American Bund rally in Madison Square Garden where for a couple hours he witnessed unbridled antisemitism that we all associate with Nazis and could not accept it anymore.

Greenbaum charged the stage tried to grab the mic while yelling "Down with Hitler! Down with Hitler!" and subsequently brutally beaten by the uniformed Nazis on stage. He was arrested and fined $25.
Superheroes don't all wear capes, war heros don't even have to wear a uniform.

On this anniversary of D-day, let's remember all of those who had the courage to be against fascism, anti-fascism or antifa, and be antifa going forward.
