Mac Pro with Silicon? Called it! Weeeeee! #WWDC23
8 built-in thunderbolt ports! Holy fucking fuck! I want this! #WWDC23
$7000? Who cares, I want it. Also lmao the dig at PC users. Just improve VoiceOver, and I'll do it full time. #WWDC23
I mean sure all that you listed is cool, but how about you fix the bugs first? #WWDC23
Ooh, live voicemail seems fucking awesome! I seriously hope that’s also in CallKit, and VoiceOver accessible! #WWDC23
Oh no, on-device voicemail transcription? That means the word “food” will get turned into “dog”. #WWDC23
Ooh, I’m actually really excited for all these messages and Face Time changes. Especially because I have a lot of very active group chats, with a lot of audio messages. #WWDC23
So much emphasis on stickers and Emojis. Sighted people are weird. #WWDC23
Whoa, pealing and moving stickers. That seems cool, but also totally not accessible. #WWDC23
I already loved AirDrop, but NameDrop has made it about 10000 times better! #WWDC23
Oh my god we can now leave AirDrop range and it’ll continue! That was my biggest gripe with AirDrop before. #WWDC23
You’ve done something to autocorrect, but improving it isn’t that thing. #WWDC23
Sometimes you do just want to type a ducking phrase ,yes! #WWDC23
A Suggestions API! Hell yeah! I’m actually excited for this. #WWDC23
So they basically brought nightstand mode from the Apple Watch to iOS. Cool I guess? #WWDC23
Is it just me, or does the name iOS 17 sound weird? #WWDC23
iPadOS powers the iPad?I would’ve never guessed. #WWDC23
Ooh! Interactive widgets! Probably not accessible, but that seems awesome! #WWDC23
Oh boy, so you’re making my iPad’s Lock Screen as inaccessible as my iPhone’s. How exciting. /s #WWDC23
And that, Is how you can make your Lock Screen inaccessible, with iPadOS17. #WWDC23
The health app? I just wanted a ducking calculator! #WWDC23
Oh my god these new PDF features are going to revolutionize PDF accessibility for blind people! I don’t even know if they realize how good this is going to be! #WWDC23
Really? I thought tvOS powers the Mac. Also, Sonoma? That’s an awesome OS name! #WWDC23
Oh great, macOS widgets hardly work with VO as it is, this is just gonna make it worse. #WWDC23
You are currently on your car keys. To start the car, press control, option, command, shift, space, period, delete. #WWDC23
Ooh! Auto-removal of trackers from URLs, and locking private tabs! I approve 1000%. #WWDC23
Web Apps? That’s cool, but just about a decade late. #WWDC23
“Craig plays guitar!” And also drums, and bass, I guess. #WWDC23
Adaptive audio seems really cool, but I definitely wouldn’t trust that, especially when traveling outside as a blind person. #WWDC23
Whenever I hear about a feature using on-device intelligence on an Apple device, I get immediately filled with dread, just because of how shitty Dictation has become. #WWDC23
Ooh, SharePlay in the car! I’ve needed this for years! That’s fucking awesome! #WWDC23
Locating the Siri Remote with my phone? I can’t count the number of times I’ve needed this, too! Hell yeah! #WWDC23
Oh my god, FaceTime on Apple TV! Weeeeeee! #WWDC23
watchOS! Let’s go! #WWDC23
So we now have cycling and cycle tracking. Can we say confusing yet? #WWDC23
I like the sound of a lot of these mental health features on the Watch. #WWDC23
Vision health? You mean the thing I have none of? #WWDC23
Give your child a tech device, so they’ll go outside more. Can we say oxymoron yet? #WWDC23
Oh no, here comes a new platform. #WWDC23
Hey, they said the word platform. Does that count? #WWDC23
Called it! New AR platform! #WWDC23
I wonder how not accessible Vision Pro is going to be? At least at first. #WWDC23
If done right, however, this could kill things like the Invision glasses. #WWDC23
I love how the audio description described the leg appearing in a forest. It made it sound like this severed leg just showed up out of nowhere. #WWDC23
Whoa, with the way they’re describing hand gestures, this could be entirely accessible! We may have found an invision glasses killer and so much more! #WWDC23
Lmao it used the old Siri sound! #WWDC23
Eyesight! Another thing I simply do not have. #WWDC23
Imagine AirBSI! #WWDC23
I’m all wet now! #WWDC23
“We studied thousands of heads!” I’m… sure you did. #WWDC23
Oh god, eye tracking is going to be such a bitch for those of us with Nystagmus. No, I want to type in the search field, not hit the back button! #WWDC23
I’ll have a computer on my head! #WWDC23
5 years from now, literally everyone will have these things. It’s gonna be the next iPhone. #WWDC23
Now this is a good target for SoundScape/OpenScape! #WWDC23
All iOS and iPadOS frameworks are ported? Okay, so there is hope for VoiceOver out of the gate. #WWDC23
Each time “We’ve been preparing for this for years” is said = $1000 more on the price tag. #WWDC23
Okay… but what about accessibility features? #WWDC23
Five! Thousand! patents! Holy fuck! #WWDC23
$3500! As a start! Holy! Shit! I was way off. I guessed $2000.
@TheQuinbox But think of how much fun we could have! It shows your eyes when you look at someone. You and I would be walking around, our eyes randomly popping in and out of existence as they happen to make brief contact with someone.
@TheQuinbox I guessed 8. I'm genuinely surprised its not way more.
@TheQuinbox I'm surprised the price was where it is. I was expecting it to be somewhere in the five or six thousand dollar range.
@TheQuinbox As unfeasible as it is with that price… If I could somehow swing it… Definitely thinking about it. It has head tracking, and we could use that.
@TheQuinbox Eye tracking? I have pretty bad nystagmus, or however that's spelled. That poor eye tracker won't know what hit it. It'll just give up in utter confusion after ten seconds of trying to figure out what my eyes are doing.
@alexhall @TheQuinbox Just like i tracking for Face ID, I suspect this feature will be disabled or can be disabled optionally.
@TheQuinbox Yeah, kind of glad this headset is so far out of my price range. I'll wait for like version 3 of it before I even start getting excited. LOL
@TheQuinbox I wondered if someone would comment about that.
@TheQuinbox I kinda hope so. This would make me switch honestly. This is the AR platform I've been hoping for for years.
