MiniIDE being *bigger* than IDE doesn't make any sense. Whoever decided "let's design an IDE-like connector with 4 more pins than actual IDE-) connector and name it *Mini*IDE" was high on LSD…

I mean "Mini $whatever" for something that is actually bigger than "$whatever" is a misnomer
Mini litteraly means smaller than…
There's a reason why any other connector uses "Mini" prefix for "smaller than what is considered full size connector". Be it Jack, USB, HDMI, DisplayPort…
