After three and a half hours of pinning and hot gluing the LED string in place, Squishy Dodecahedron is assembled!
@geekmomprojects that is amazeballs!! 😍
@geekmomprojects that would make an awesome rave toy.
@geekmomprojects So squishy, yet so shiny - that turned out incredibly well! 🤩
@axwax thank you! I'm really happy with it.
@geekmomprojects It is amazing that the wiring doesn’t break when you squish the electronic dodecahedron! I think you have invented some fundamental engineering principle that many of us would like to understand.
@tomacorp no new principle - I just got some very flexible LED strings which can stand up to this kind of movement quite easily.
@geekmomprojects Two down, only 3 more platonic solids to do before you have the full (D&D) dice set?
@avatastic I've already done the two hardest ones, so the other three might happen!

@geekmomprojects The only caveat is that the tetrahedron should be easy to misplace, but painful to find with bodily extremities.

We call them roleplay caltrops for a reason, after all.

Dancing the Cube in Jamaica

@geekmomprojects wow, it's making me want to dance!
@geekmomprojects I have a cat who loves Squishy and I think he would like this.
@geekmomprojects
Wow, that is wonderful! I have to learn to make that, too :-)
@geekmomprojects 🥥 This toot -- and the completed project it shows -- deserved a follow, Geek Mom! 🥥
@geekmomprojects OMG, THE PATTERNS! That thing is GLORIOUS!
@geekmomprojects I love the beginning starburst!
@alpenglow I can't take credit for any of these animations. Right now the Dodecahedron is just hooked up to one of those cheap Christmas light controllers, but the preset animations did work out remarkably well on this build.
@geekmomprojects this is SO COOL. You keep on making cool stuff. I want to be like you! 🤩
@andypiper thank you, 🤗, though if more people were like me, a lot less would get done in the world (though it would be blinkier!)
@geekmomprojects I mean, I see few downsides.
