In May, the United States economy added 339,000 jobs.

That's a total of 13 million jobs created since President Biden took office.

Under President Joe Biden, the U.S. has seen the strongest economic recovery from COVID in the world.

@RitchieTorres

I'm sorry, Congressman, but even though this kind of statistics is way more intelligent than the #GQP's, leave alone #MAGA's, it should not be reported to dishonest means.

Of course, these gains must be seen πŸ‘‰relativeπŸ‘ˆ to the #US working-age population of the corresponding years, at a minimum.

Also, figures must be deflated somehow for female participation rates in the workforce, which was all but none-existent prior to #WWII in comparison to the present.

@HistoPol @RitchieTorres

Why are you talking about WWII? This chart starts in 1981.

Also, there's a trend. Would you like to take a guess what it is?

@DoesntExist @RitchieTorres

B/c The trend of stronger female labor participation started when the men were in the military during WWII, regardless of when the chart starts.

Without the two suggested corrections, any deductions are biased and not worth further discussion.
The fundamental demographics changed too much over the decades to be comparable.

Yes, it is better than #RDS's completely bogus use of statistics regarding POC, but still not good enough.

@HistoPol @RitchieTorres

You have a scope problem and have not made your case.

I understand your point fully, BTW. Your understanding of the longitudinal forces of history are deeply suspect and don't stand up.

How, for example, does stronger female labor participation 40 years prior to the beginning of the chart in any way affect the trend that job gains over the last 40 years are much larger during Democratic presidencies?

You're missing the trend and misreading the chart. Wanna start talking the Code of Theodosius next, or are we done being mystical?

@DoesntExist @RitchieTorres

The TREND started back then during WWII!

In 1981, the rate was still way lower than in the 2000's.

Here's the chart:

And US population has exploded, too. (As a 1st approximation for working-age population, which has undergone significant changes as well, e.g. the graying of America.)

These absolute figures are not statistically significant without taking these huge demographic changes into account.

@HistoPol @RitchieTorres

The Labor Participation Rate for prime-working-age Americans hit a 16-year high in May, and the rate for prime-working-age women is the highest on record. https://www.axios.com/2023/06/02/jobs-report-workers-prime-age-labor-force-participation?utm_source=flipboard&utm_content=user%2FAxiosNews

Prime-age workers hit labor market milestone

Prime-age worker participation (25-54) sees full recovery from post-2008 financial crisis slump.

@RitchieTorres I am also surprised that, according to this chart, Joe Biden is the first Democratic president since Jimmy Carter.
@jan @RitchieTorres oh I see, the new color for Republicans is burnt orange. Right.

@RitchieTorres Dems mean people. All people.

No one creates opportunities for people like the Dems do.

No "Republican" goes less golfing like Dems, working to overcome the limits of opportunities benefitting Americans.

@RitchieTorres
Why is Biden allowing J Powell to rape, us.
@GatekeepKen Biden isn’t Super Man. We all have to do our part. It’s more than votingβ€”it’s being involved, invested and able to have difficult discussions. No one man is to blame and no one man can fix it.
@damnkimberlee
True, but it makes no sense for Biden to work his ass off to create jobs and Powell is trying his damnedest to kill jobs.
@RitchieTorres In Australia we admit that the rise in job vacancies is being driven by covid.

Since the 80's the best (R) job creator was... Regan and hasn't been bested... Since Regan? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

Do people wonder why the majority in AMER mostly votes for Democrats. πŸ‘‚
