Ben & Jerry’s ends advertising on Twitter due too much hate speech. Gotta love questioning the ethics of advertising as a business model to replace it with paid hate speech for $8/month as the superior model.

@carnage4life I think it says something when (and, to be clear, I've turned off targeted advertising!) the main Twitter ads I see are from the UK government for a "stop being a paedophile" helpline and warnings to avoid being scammed by crypto. Really captures the new target market.

@carnage4life The boosting and protection from reporting was a feature of legacy verified from the start. If you read the fine print about Twitter Blue when it was first introduced in 2021 (almost a year before Musk), it gave $8kun the same privileges. Don't believe the Dorsey boys that this was something they were horrified about after the sale.
(There was a whole ranking system of legacy verifieds about who was untouchable. Musk was 2nd, behind the US president.)
